2023 Retrospection
2024 is days away, and here are some of the notes I have for 2023 in retrospection.
What's good
In March, I gave a lecture about microservice and cloud native development for BPK IT team in Jakarta to helped them decide the infrastructure for their application.
In June, I gave a speech during TU-Delft college visit on the topic of engineering introduction and team structure.
In Sep, for the first time, I took my family aboard to Singapore. We visited Singapore in one-week vacation + one-week business trip. We stayed Orchard area for a week, and in Sentosa island for another week. We visited key places during our visit.
In Nov, for the first time I went to UK for business trip. I attended world travel mart event in ExCel, London. It was 5-day trip full with amazing and invaluable experiences. I met with great people, the atmosphere was extremely different, fortunately on top of I got tons of knowledge, I managed to visit many of key POI like big ben, greenpark, westminster abbey, st paul's cathedral, and much more. More importantly, I took thames clipper from London Eye to my hotel at Canary Wharf.
Also in Nov, I had a chance to take my family to visit Bangkok.
What can be improved
Personal hygiene should become one of highest priority. Having this taken care of boosts confidence
I tried diet in H1 and managed to get weight dropped to 80, however it's. back to 88 in Nov. I should continue on diet, not only it's healthy, it makes me look good. I should be more disciplined on continuing my diet. What motivated me in the first place to diet: I feel much better and think more clearly when I'm in hungry.
I should spend more time with family and kids.
On financial planning, I lost much money on crypto. It's scam, no real utilization. Better to invest in stocks or gold.
